Penn Law

MSP Digital created a cross-channel direct marketing campaign that features a graphic rich, unique format direct mail piece incorporating photos that are relevant to each segment. By also utilizing a personalized URL, each recipient was taken to a personal web-site to view video from various Penn Law students and prominent alumni and have the opportunity to make a donation.

Penn Medicine

Connecting with a broad range of age groups requires sending messaging through “favored” communications
channels. Penn Medicine worked with MSP Digital Marketing to develop and implement this strategy for their
2011 Annual Appeal. A traditional letter and envelope appeal was replaced with a combination of a graphic
rich self mailer and follow-up e-mail communication, both directing alumni to a personalized response website
where they could view a short video from the Chair of the Development Committee.

Variable data fields and format design for this third campaign was a collaborative effort between the college and the MSP Digital Marketing team. The resulting mail piece used new imagery of SJF athletics, recent achievements of SJF teams, the specific benefits contributions would make to SJF athletics from this campaign, and a personalized message – all in a short, upbeat, easy to read and respond to package. Recommended giving levels and recent team designations were variable based on recipients’ recent giving histories and team affiliation.

Overall creative and design work for this campaign was a collaborative effort between the college and the MSP Digital Marketing creative team. The resulting mail piece combined imagery of SJF athletics, recent achievements of SJF teams, the specific benefits contributions would make to SJF athletics from this campaign, and a personalized message – all in a short, upbeat, easy to read and respond to package. Recommended giving levels and team designations were variable based on recipients’ giving histories and affiliation.

Ivy-League-UniversityIvy League University

Instead of using traditional generic direct mail communications for this reunion the school partnered with MSP Digital Marketing to create a 1:1 direct mail piece that spoke directly to each recipient, and emphasized the importance their attendance was to the success of the reunion. The initial mailing returned an 8% response rate. Encouraged by this the school sent a second mailing and increased the total response rate to over 10%.

A traditional envelope appeal package was replaced with a graphic rich, graduation year themed mailer, personalized to past donors and non-doners, that resonates with recipients and generates increased enthusiasm for the campaign.
Overall creative and design work was a collaborative effort between Aquinas and the MSP Digital Marketing team. The resulting mail piece combined imagery of current students, along with past images from the decade the recipient graduated, a personalized message from a current student and the specific benefits contributions would make to the fund.

To increase participation and donation commitment for the annual McQuaid Jesuit Fund Fall Campaign, MSP Digital designed a colorful z-fold insert with a perforated reply panel, a cost-cut return envelope with both pieces inserted into a #10 display window envelope. Recipients were also encouraged to donate on-line if preferred. MSP Digital also provided all campaign data services – merge/purge, postal presorting, NCOA and DPV requirements to achieve the lowest USPS rates possible.
